A Return

I took several months away from blogging due to a multitude of things.

Life changes meant time was at an absolute premium. Work took up more time that it had.

But more importantly I was losing interest in writing the same old things. "Fawaz is a horrific person" or "Look at Fawaz latest gaffe" got tired and very repetitive. Ironically in a season we struggled I stepped away, because its season we struggle when there's more to say (and more hits to gain).

Next season will be the first in 13 years I don;t have a season ticket, but I will probably still get to as many games as before by cherry picking away games too. You see its difficult when you don't actually live in the area anymore to justify getting in so late in midweek to watch a game you know you will lose.

There is a new dawn with the Greeks, despite selling Britt. Things are being done right, and I don;t get the impression that panic signings are being made. Under Fawaz it was whatever cheap stuff an agent could hawk him.

Just look at Januarys signings. McCormack, Ayibi, Teixeria, Tshibola. None of them made any impact, but Fawaz knew he needed to make signings. Clough did of course but he wasn't cheap.

So here we go. 2017/18, we will be back again. Giving our usual slant of events. Taking that stpe back. Mocking idiotic transfer rumours, trying to look at things objectively, and always just trying to scratch beneath the surface just a little (although with no Fawaz around hopefully theres not a need to closely investigate everything that happpens)
