Well here we go, the deadline day that will hopefully like no other with promised big signings.
We will try to keep you abreast of whats happening throughout the day.
With three transfers yesterday, in Carayol, Lica and Dumitru, at least 2 of those are suggested to have been happening regardless of the Burke money.
So who will we get?
The names in the hat aren't exactly £13 mill worth of players yet, with free transfers of Bendtner (and I thought that was more of a joke 2 days ago in the rumours roundup, but its gathered pace)
Leonardo Ulloa has apparently handed in a transfer request at Leicester, he could be a possible link.
Ravel Morrison, the enfant terrible of English football over the last few years has also been mentioned, but a number of clubs are looking at him.
Jordan Rhodes has been mentioned a lot, but a Boro fan I know suggests he doubts they'd sell him, but this s football. who knows.
He will be around, in and out all day, so lets hope we enjoy this ride today.

So not a lot is currently actually happening, but there's lots of conjecture.
Because of a cryptic Alan Nixon tweet about East Midlands in uproar, people thought that this meant Assombalonga was on his way to derby. A huge leap of imagination.
In fact Daniel Taylor says Britt is getting a new long term deal. Daniel Taylor is a lot more reliable than Nixons vague tweets designed to keep coming back.
some are suggesting this will be the big new investment. I think it underlines everyone just expects the worst, and the majority seem to think that there will be no major new buys, and that fawaz will spin this Britt news to be the big news of the day. A way to bury bad news.
The rest is just names being flung by very unreliable accounts or the same as we reported this morning. A very depressing update.

If the last update was depressing, this ones suicidal Apparently after the signing of Lica for £300k, and with new deals for Lansbury and Britt, thats our business done. No investment of that Burke money, and Fawaz has taken us all for a ride.
It might be the lowest ebb as a Forest fan for quite a while. Knowing we have been duped.

Things go from bad to worse. There have been further outgoings. Jamie Ward has gone on loan to Burton, and Alex Iacovetti has gone to Mansfield Town both for the season. Dimi Evtomov has gone abroad to Portugal on loan to Olhanense.
Lars Veldwijk is rumoured to have been allowed to leave for free.
No other incoming transfers have occurred.
This is frustrating.
