Following the early part of this week being dominated by unpaid bills and unsubstantiated (made up) rumours by people on Vital, let's all settle down to a nice good old fashioned trawl through the latest rumours going round on the various internet sources. These are from forums, Twitter, rumour sites, and stuff I heard in general. I do not take any credit for these, or am suggesting they will happen, just rounding up so you don't have to.

Lee Peltier
The Leeds utility man who had a successful loan period with us might well be coming back. Blackburn and ourselves are the front runners for his signature as Leeds want to offload. This rumour took on a load of momentum yesterday, and it could well happen. Very feasible.
Stuart Armstrong
22 year old Dundee United midfielder. Not quite positionally what we are after but would be an excellent addition to the squad. He was in the Scottish Premier League team of the year and was up for the Young Player of the Year award. A quick Google of his name and transfer rumour reveals he has recently been linked to Celtic, Everton and QPR. So good company. Celtic seems in driving seat, but we could still hijack any deal, but we'd need to pay quite large for him it looks.
Tommy Lee
Chesterfield keeper who seems to being linked an assumption that Darlow might be off. Many mention young keeper but he is 28 now, and though he was League Two keeper of the year, it might be a large step up for the ex Manchester United youngster. Probably better targets out there, and younger. Feels like mindless speculation of people looking for top rated Lower league keepers to replace Darlow.
Lars Veldwijk
6'5 striker in Holland for Excelsior. 2 years old, and had prolific season last year. Had spells as a youngster with Utrecht after starting at Volendam, is also being linked with Leicester City. I'm unsure on what the relative cost would be, but considering he plays for a modest Eredivisie club it might not be too much. This one seems to have a lot of legs too, it could be a goer, but only if Premiership clubs keep their noses out or aren't willing to take a risk.
Matthew Briggs
Former Fulham defender released this summer following relegation many Fulham news sources seemed to be surprised thinking that Briggs still had a lot to offer. Briggs will be known to Pearce from his Under-21 past. Briggs is primarily a full back but can operate down the wing too. He would cost us nothing. At 6'2 he is tall for a full back. We have just however signed Danny Fox and have Dan Harding as cover (for now, see below) and Chris Cohen might well continue as a left back, so another man in that role is not necessary.

Karl Darlow
Chelsea were strongly linked in the last week or so to Darlow, and the varying figure as listed as around £5million. However the various facets of any such deal differ from source to source here. One is that they would loan him back for the year. Another is that the deal is £3mill plus Bamford for Darlow. Others mention straight up cash deals. I still think Darlow will remain a Forest player for at least next season. At this stage it remains to be seen if we cash in, or he wants to move on.
Henri Lansbury
A player many see as irreplaceable (me included) Lansbury is attracting attention from the likes of West Ham, QPR and Fulham. The fact he is a London lad seems to drive the shortlist of clubs, and there has apparently been noises from his camp about being a club top performer but not comparatively a top earner. Whether Forest rectify this or he agitates for a move is completely unclear. He still has two years left on his deal.
Dan Harding, Darius Henderson & Danny Collins
Have basically been told they are free to find a new club if they want. Although we aren't releasing, we'd allow them to leave for nothing if someone else took them off our wage bill. Pretty much as it was last summer with Miller and Derbyshire (which no-one took us up on) Whether they decide to sit for a year on a contract expiring whilst not playing, move on, or fight for places remains to be seen.
