Tshabalala heading for Forest Trial

South African World Cup Favourite Siphiwe Tshabalala, will tomorrow head to Nottingham for a week-long trial with Forest.

Forest 24-7 understands that ‘Shabba’ is hoping to impress and seal a £1.5m deal to Forest from Kaizer Chiefs – a club which has nurtured likes of Lucas Radebe in years gone by.

‘Shabba’ needs no introduction. He is a 26 year old, pacey left footed winger, who can also operate in the centre of midfield. Most of us probably remember him for scoring the opening goal in last year’s World Cup and then proceeding to do a Macarena style celebration – something I’m sure Dele and Big Wes are keen to get involved with should his move get the green light.

Tshabalala has been keen to come to Europe since the World Cup and last week’s FIFA awards – in which he met the likes of Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi – have reignited his desire and ambition to make it at the highest level.

‘Shabba’ seems to have also recognised the potential of Forest with his agent saying:

"Forest are a good team, I think they have good enough players to get up into the Premier League next season. Hopefully Siphiwe can impress them."

Hopefully he won’t kick up a fuss should we not make the Premier League this season - although he seems the type of guy who is grateful for what he has.

If 'Shabba' can replicate the form he showed in last years World Cup, I think we may be making a very shrewd piece of business - after all he is just what we need on the flanks.

So the global Forest scouting network continues to pick out these exciting foreign talents like 'Shabba' and Findley in this transfer window.

A quick closing question, have they scouted another left back yet?
