We’re Nottingham Forest, Unbeaten at Home!

While most were celebrating the 5-2 drubbing of Derby, it was all to easy forget that Wednesday's win meant we have gone the whole of 2010 without seeing a single league defeat at home. More importantly, however, our unbeaten home form now stands at 30 games and counting.

Billy Davies was quick to recognise this 'unbelievable' achievement in his post match interview, praising both the team and the fans for making this happen. That said, he also produced this corker of a line that is sure to get fans talking:

“If he (Brian Clough) was in charge now, he would probably be getting an MBE for it. He would be getting a plaque outside the ground. I am not saying I want a plaque myself. Perhaps I'll get one if we win something but we have not won anything yet. We are still working on that.”

If Clough was in charge now Billy, I think I stand on behalf of the majority of Forest fans in saying we would more than likely be in the Premiership - which would make any such achievement even better. In fact it was Cloughies great team of the late 70s that set the current record of over 50 games unbeaten at home.

Nonetheless, it’s a fantastic achievement and one that each and every single one of the team and management should be proud of.

Here’s hoping Billy and the boys can continue this fantastic run well into 2011.
