It's Time For the Big One

Forest will this week take on arch rivals Derby County in what will only be Forests second game of December.
The Rams are on bad form so it's a good time to be facing them. Forest of course have flying home form. However, Derby are the team who destroyed our previous excellent run of form, which arguably turned the season last year.
It will be fast and frenetic, and at times probably downright ugly. Kris Commons as well know will be highly dangerous, he's on good goalscoring form, and the ex-Red will be desperate to score against us again. Robbie Savage will be missing, so we won't have to put up with his antics of trying to wind everyone up all match. That's a relief to be honest. If there is one player I despise it's Savage, just because his own game is about annoying everyone till they snap.
I have high hopes for the Reds in this one. 2 ex Rams will be looking to score for us, and Earnshaw needs a goal or two to end his recent barren run. Tudgay's Forest career is off to a flyer, so he too will be looking to build on his excellent start.
The fact we have had three games postponed now also means two things. The players are fresh and ready. And they will be raring to get back on the pitch after a quiet time for them now. Christmas is a busy period usually but with the years cold snap and the spate of cancellations, our players haven't had a chance to do hat they do best.
I have high hopes that Derby won't be one of these teams that try to park the bus. We struggle to break these teams down. I doubt they will, it is against Clough's ethos, and also the fans will be eager to see their boys take it to us rather than sit off.
We know full well what Commons is capable of, he can't be given any room at all. But we have McGugan on form now who can hopefully do what Commons does but better in this match. Both are high in the top scorer charts this season, which shows how vital the pair have been to their respective clubs.
We have to just make sure we retain control of our composure. The likes of Moussi can't lose their heads. I hope to see Ramsey maybe start, we have seen brief flashes from him of what he's all about. And his initial loan sell ends all too soon without barely kicking a ball for us.
The crowd will be noisy, we don't need to be psyched up or cajoled for this one. Neither will Derby's fans. So lets just hope its a corker and that the Reds win.
