Barnsley 3 v 1 Nottingham Forest

And so the unbeaten run came to an end in Barnsley. Not the most glamorous of lines ever written by there we go.
Forest were defeated by the hard working Yorkshire led team. Mark Robins has had a happy history v Forest and continued that.
It started badly and never really go a lot better, going behind early to a goal by Nathan Doyle. One of those games where you know going behind early is just a bad sign.
The rest of the half saw Forest with the better opportunities but unable to take them before early in the second half Barnsley doubled their lead
Dexter Blackstock bought down Lovre and ex Forest player Andy Gray slotted home the penalty. He barely ever featured for Forest but against us always seems to prosper.
The Reds hit back through a good Lewis McGugan goal, continuing his bright form and showing that he is the creative player consistently we all hoped he could be.
He ran past 2-3 men before slotting home in the corner from the edge of the srea.
Forest pushed men forward to get an equaliser, under the stewardship of David Kelly today in the absence of Billy Davies, but pushing Morgan further forward left us exposed at the back and Barnsley finished off the Reds through a Butterfield goal with time running out.
Not a happy hunting ground Oakwell, and the Reds wheels came of their wagon, which they will be hoping to rectify this week against Middlesbrough, who are also misfiring.
