Nottingham Forest 3 v 1 Swansea

Well that was a rather pleasing result and performance.
Despite calling into question McGugans ability to be able to perform week in week out, he went on to prove us at Forest 24-7 wrong with another belting performance. You can't ask any less than to net the two goals. The first a penalty, given after the keeper took out Blackstock (although from my Trent End view, it looked maybe harsh. I expected Blackstock to try and erase the demons of his miss against Millwall, only for McGugan to take the mantle and send the keeper the wrong way.
Swansea in the first half didn't offer very much. Pratley, who I was keen to see wasn't having his best game, though this maybe in part to his constant shadow during the game Guy Moussi. Another frustratingly inconsistent performer he played well today in the middle. The Frenchman did his role in shutting out Pratley but also played some neat stuff, and didn't make any of his errors he is prone to making when his concentration lapses.
Nouble for Swansea looked a big threat up front, he was largely sniffed out by Wes Morgan, who had a another solid game at the back, as did Luke Chambers, much to some of the people who sit around me's chagrin.
The second half saw McGugan score what was a wonderful goal. Battling past to defenders and netting a wonderful finish over the keeper. The win was finished off by McGugans replacement Radoslaw Majewski, another player who has been inconsistent who netted a well taken goal to finish off the Swans, before Van Der Guns late goal after Camp parried a save to his left and Van Der Gun finished into the roof of the net.
Swansea during the second half did have a lot of possession early on, when it was still 10. They passed the ball around well and threatened to break into the area, but they never really had a finish or an effort in them. Dyer looked lively with many a jinking run, even if he had little final delivery.
All in all a very pleasing result, it also saw the return to action of David McGoldrick after his injury lay off, he looked lively and hopefully will see him achieve full fitness shortly.
The game ended bizarrely for us in the Trent End with the first aiders and Paramedics rushing in to treat someone, who we can hope is well and fine.
